Principles of technology
The powdered activated carbon, characterized by broad-spectrum adsorbability, can absorb all kinds of degradation-resistant substances.The absorption technology with powdered activated carbon has been applied in advanced treatment process of sewage/wastewater gradually.This technology has overcome a series of difficulties at low cost, such as high chroma of wastewater, hard biodegradable wastewater, high amount of sludge production, difficulty in meeting COD standard and recycling of industrial wastewater, etc. in industrial parks of medicine, printing and dyeing and chemical engineering, etc.
Technological superiority (mainly compared with Fenton process, double-membrane process and ozone process used in current market):
1. Strong resistance to impact load.
Under the condition without new fixed-asset investment, the dosage of activated carbon can be adjusted to achieve further upgrading and reconstruction of wastewater treatment plants (upgrading from Grade I Standard B to Grade I Standard A, or from Grade I Standard A to IV-grade surface water).
2. Small floor space.
Taking the scale of 1,000m3/d as an example, this process needs a floor space of 40m2 approximately; while Fenton process 70m2, double-membrane process 100m2 and ozone process 50m2.
3. Low unit investment.
The investment cost of this process is about 800-1,000 yuan/m3; while Fenton process 1,000 yuan/m3, double-membrane process 1,500-2,000 yuan/m3 and ozone process 1,000-1,200 yuan/m3.
4. Low direct operating cost.
The direct operating cost of this process is 1-1.5 yuan/m3; while Fenton process 2-3 yuan/m3, double-membrane process 3-4 yuan/m3 and ozone process 1.5-2 yuan/m3.
5. Low energy consumption.
The energy consumption of this process is 0.15 yuan/m3; while Fenton process 0.1 yuan/m3, double-membrane process 1 yuan/m3 and ozone process 0.8 yuan/m3.
Case I: The upgrading and reconstruction project of advanced tail water treatment in Zhejiang Shengxin Wastewater Treatment Plant is the first national case that upgrades the tail water of wastewater treatment plant in large-scale industrial park from Grade I Standard B to IV-grade surface water through advanced treatment.
Case II: The upgrading project of advanced tail water treatment in Shijiazhuang Gaocheng Wastewater Treatment Plant.
